Layered Chocolate Cherry Smoothie

 1 cup pitted Chilean cherries (frozen if possible)
 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
 ¼ tsp almond extract
 ½ cup unsweetened coconut milk
 ½ cup ice
 2 tbsp unsweetened coconut milk
 1 tsp dark chocolate chips, optional

In a blender, add cherries, protein powder, flaxseed, almond extract, coconut milk and ice. Pulse; then blend on slow so smoothie stays thick. Add a little more liquid or ice as needed. Pour half of the smoothie into a glass. Then add a little more ice, cocoa powder, and dark chocolate chips to the blender and pulse again. Slowly pour the chocolate part of the smoothie on top
of the cherry. If you want the layers the other way around, just reverse.
